Food Donations Needed

The major front-page headline of the 11/25/08 edition of the News and Observer declared "Food donations fail to meet greater need." Several local organizations in need of Thanksgiving donations were listed, and no doubt the need continues. Here are several places to reach out to help others:

 

Here what the Food Bank need:
Some suggested items:  canned meals (stews, soups, tuna, ravioli, etc.); peanut butter; cereal; canned fruits and vegetables; rice, pasta and dried beans; toothpaste, shaving items, soap, etc.; infant products (diapers, wipes, formula, and infant cereal); paper items (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.).  No glass items, please.
